In physical terms, a wave is a spatially propagating periodic oscillation or a disturbance of a state of equilibrium. Jörg Gläscher's “waves” are the opposite of this definition. They are “standing” waves created with broken and found wood, sculptures built in the forest. For Jörg Gläscher, the forest was a place of retreat during the first “corona wave”. His experience and confrontation with nature gave rise to ideas that moved away from the documentary photography in which he had previously worked. In the end, the “Twelve Waves” were created, which are also the subject of the book published by us in 2023. Hartmann Projects now offers the opportunity to experience Jörg Gläscher's waves and other images created in the forest in all their power and mysteriousness.
